There's also another Dave Woods, who's the main rugby league caller for BBC. I believe he called the recent England/Australia match at Wembley (although Ch9 took the Sky Sports feed)

Is it true that a lot of the injury Dave Woods copped was because he was too lazy during warm up? My god he was a freak, could've been anything.

Now were are talking about Benji Marshall and how unlucky he is, some have mentioned Dave Woods (the centre) who played for Parra.

This got me thinking and I seem to recall another bloke named David Woods who was a tough headed front rower who, if my memory serves me correctly was a Parra Junior.
I recall that he went to the Gold Coast Seagulls.

I went to a Parra v Seagulls game a few years back and I was late. The bloke on the radio said Dave Woods had scored and it was 6 - 0.
I thought - Great !!
Until I realised that it was David Woods and not Dave Woods (who was playing for Parra at the time) and the Seagulls were 6 up !!
I could be wrong about this and if I am I stand corrected.

I recall that David Woods (the front rower) later committed suicide on the Gold Coast.

For those that recall these things - how is my memory? or am I just a little confused ? Have I got the wrong name ????

I too was at that game. There were about 12 of us in total. So only 10 more to find.
From memory we got beaten 24-6 or 24-12. Somewhere in that ballpark. Twas a dark day for the club. The Coast couldn't beat an egg that year.

Funny you guys should mention David Woods.

Keep an eye out in the next few weeks in the media ...
I've been on tender hooks for the past 3 years or more waiting for Woodsy's name to appear in the media.
