Now the man he is accused of assaulting has told
7NEWS.com.au his version of what happened in the parking area of La Favela nightclub in Seminyak that led the 19-year-old superstar being detained.
Irawan says while he is willing to sign a peace agreement with Fifita, he wants to meet him again to ensure he is truly remorseful for his alleged actions.
Fifita’s lawyer Muhammad Rifan says the allegations against the so-called million-dollar player are a “misunderstanding” and that Fifita has little memory of what happened because it was so “quick and fast”, adding that he was not drunk at the time and it was not a big case.

However, Dani Irawan’s version is different, alleging that after Fifita hit him once, unprovoked, he tried to hit him a second time.
Dani said today that he was shocked when Fifita, who was leaving La Favela on a motorbike taxi, allegedly punched him in the right cheek.
He alleges that after this Fifita tried to jump from the motorbike to punch him again but was prevented from doing so by the bike rider.
'I just don’t like to see arrogant tourists.'
“He tried to attack me again but the ojek driver stopped him,” Dani said, adding that Fifita had not said anything to him during the incident.
And Irawan says he reported the case to police, who arrested Fifita immediately, because he dislikes arrogant tourists who should be taught a lesson.
“I just don’t like to see arrogant tourists. We should give him a lesson,” Dani said today.
The security guard indicated his willingness to sign a peace agreement with Fifita and says he has forgiven him after meeting him once at the police station after the alleged incident when Fifita asked for forgiveness.

“He said, ‘sorry, sorry’”, Dani said, adding that he believed Fifita was sincere.
However, before signing an agreement he wants to meet Fifita again to ensure he is truly remorseful. There are plans for Dani to meet with Fifita’s lawyers as early as tomorrow to nut out a peace agreement.
'I feel pitty
And Dani says he is not after monetary compensation - something which often accompanies peace agreements to foot medical bills and time off work.
“It’s up to him,” Dani said in regard to possible compensation. If no compensation is forthcoming he said “that’s fine”.
Asked why he had chosen to forgive Fifita, Dani said: “Because that’s only because he was drunk.”
Dani said he felt sorry for Fifita being locked up in jail. “As a human, of course, I feel pity. Moreover, he has asked forgiveness.”
Dani had no idea at the time who Fifita was or that he was a well-known footballer.

The Broncos well-being and education manager, Adam Walsh, has arrived in Bali to assist the club’s rising young gun and today spent about 10 minutes with him at the cell where he is locked up in Kuta police station.
Mr Walsh arrived and left with a red suitcase and made no comment to the media.
Fifita’s lawyers are confident of wrapping the case up quickly and having the player released without charge, something which would be dependant on him signing a peace agreement with the security guard.
Under Indonesian law, Fifita can be held for 24 hours before being named as a suspect. That 24-hours has now passed and the legal team says the fact that police have not released him means he will be named as a suspect.
Lawyer Muhammad Rifan said Fifita had no intention to assault anyone that night.

“There was an incident, he was there and there was no intention to do the assault. It’s only a misunderstanding,” Rifan said at Kuta police station.
“He (Fifita) doesn’t remember, not because he was drunk, because the incident was fast. Not an assault or not an intention to do assault. And there was no incident before. It’s different if there is an incident before and they fight each other, it’s different.”
Rifan said he was hopeful the case would be wrapped up soon.
“It’s only a small problem.”
Rifan said that Fifita was not drunk when the incident occurred and had not drunk much alcohol that evening.
