How good is this. One of our best players re-signing. Play him at fullback.

I only read about this after reading Tedesco was leaving. My immediate thought was he seems to make as many line breaks as Tedesco, is good under a high ball and is fast. I think full back is a genuine possibility for him and could turn him in to a super star.

Wing or full back I am so glad he is staying. I thought we had 2 star players we had to chase and he was one of them.

Ned - we did have 2 star performers in Tedesco and Nofo. One of those is a dog and the other one is a legend.

Great news this. He's just the kind of player we want at the club: humble, hungry, and hard-working.

I'm sure most people know but nofoaluma was picked in the nsw and Australian juniour rep teams at fullback ahead of teddy. Teddy was even playing wing for the magpies matts team. It wasn't until they got to NYC when they switched, at sheens request (nofoaluma started out at center then got shifted to wing)

Thats what we need to do now then. Move nofo to fb immediately to blood him for the year and move tedesco to the wing

Nofo showed yesterday that he is a proud member of this squad and loves the club. He was the real MOM for mine and when he scored and kissed the emblem on his chest he was sending a message to his team mates who claimed they were too good to be associated with the likes of him.

Just proves channel 9 MOTM means f**k all. Everyone saw Nofo as the best yesterday yet the 9's bias got woods over the line

Woods was good but not our best

I had Brooks and Nofo in front of him atleast

Very tempting to do this.

I just wonder if Cleary is wary of creating any more drama and instability from within the playing group. Kind of the same reason he'll likely keep Woods as captain for the rest of the season. I was filthy when he said he'd likely do that, but thinking about it a bit deeper, it's probably for the sake of team harmony and to avoid more drama and awkwardness from within.

I dont think there would be much harmony when the dog 3 have stated they want to play at a successful club. Pretty much calling your current team a bunch of turds.

He has never been a great defender, but he seems to have got worse since he re-signed and after Cleary arrived.

That first try Parra scored yesterday was embarrassing for a first grader....

Under 10's are taught that you have to mark up on your winger and not let him get outside you...

Nofo has become a special to allow at least one try per game....

Surely this can be coached out of him?

I hope it can be coached out of him because he really is a great player in so many ways. He carries us forward consistently. He can score tries.

He also made a really good tackle on Gutherson yesterday when he came in. It seems to be on our line he consistently has troubles staying wide enough.

Nofo's problem is that he is hit and miss - his defence can be rocks and diamonds.

Im hoping that with decent defenders in the back line he can trust his inside man more and work better towards our structure.

Regardless,, there is no point scoring a try a match if he lets one in as well.

I've said it before but he needs to be given a run at fullback and if he performs well then that's his spot next year. If that means moving Teddy out to the wing for the last few games then so be it.

Cleary has said a few times that some players are still sticking to bad habits from previous coaching. It's obvious he is referring to Nofa. A lot of times he rushes is cause we are short but radradras try was all on him.

Too me he seems very down on confidence. He isn't busting tackles like he used to. He gets manhandled a bit. If I recall he got injured in a game against sharks at leichardt but he hasn't missed time. I thought for a few weeks he was carrying an injury. Since this game he has been worse in defense but also attack in terms of his tackle busting ability. He looks really skinny at the moment not sure if he got injured and lost some muscle. He is just another guy in our team who needs a good off season.
