i'm still dreaming of that victory celebration after winning a premiership. can't wait. then i will f*ckin party for weeks. maybe take in a few nightclub appearances along with promoting Bundaberg rum with the bear and stuff, tour the country, and take it ALL in!
one thing that'll never forget is after the 99 semi lost to dragons. i caught the courtesy bus from sharks for supporters, sat next took an elderly chap (age:late 70s) who retired moved up to far north coast. supported the sharks since they came in. bring a long serving memebr of the club and community. we chatted, a bus ride which was filled with excitment and anticipation. he chatted about how he went to the other grand final appearances for the sharks. he told it how it was, back in the day. (at that moment although 22 at the time, i felt like a little 7yo listening to his granpa speak of the olden days)...
the bus ride..
the game...i shall not discuss that any further...
the bus ride home...as all the shattered sharks supporters bustled back onto the buses. who should i sit next to, but the same old chap. we had a few quiet words and i still remeber him saying "I waited years for this, i don't think i ever see them get all the way..." FUUUUUKKKKK i was gutted, because the bloke had a tear running down his cheek
so now i'm still waiting for that day when the sharks actulaly do it. nows the time to fire up. they still have got alot of work and things to fix yet. but CMON!
and still waiting for disney/pixar or dreamworks to pick up my little story...somehow i don't think it will not grab their attention
