He had an awesome debut! His positional skills in defence were exceptional and his kick returns were very effective.

When he cleaned up those kicks into the Knights in goal I kept thinking of Tim Brasher's debut for NSW.

I hope Robbie O recovers quickly and I hope we get to see some mor of Seage in the future.

Great game and the Knights earned their points tonight.

He really looks like the complete package. He attacked well, but he was (and I'm quoting a rival fan here) 'Luke Phillips' like in his defence'. He seemed to know how to handle whatever Penrith threw at him, and kept a level head when shepherding the ball out. In particular his work on the kick that Lewis chased was great, letting it roll and showing the confidence to leave it until the last second to slap out.

He saved us more than once, and with Robbie O out for six weeks- he's in an excellent opportunity to show us what he's got.

Seage played really well.

But that is what you expect from a Queenslander.

I feel his positioning and attacking runs were Brasher-esque

A real pleasure to watch.

I only saw the last 10 minutes but from the sound of it he did well. Saw him get a run close to the line in the last 5 but stumbled and pretty much tackled himself ( that run had rookie jitters written all over it). I've seen him score plenty of times for Wynnum, and under normal circumstances (ie: bit of confidence) that would have been try time, no problem. Confidence can only go up after that debut.

mate - i think he will be a superstar. his game last night was impressive for so many reasons - on debut against last years premiers, in the wet, and rushed into the game alot earlier than would have been intended, in front of 20,000 people away from home! he stumbled in that break, but in saying that he was ankle tapped, and it was wet. he made a couple of handling errors and one or two defensive mistakes, but all in all it impressed the hell out of me.

sorry robbie o - doubt you'll be needed for the rest of the year. seage's future is all in his own hands now.

Seage is definately a future star. As for O'davis, does anyone know how that came about. I think he was taken high and without the ball when he kicked it in the same set he came off, I can't wait for the game to be realesed on video on the nrl site so I can see if it was what I think. Either way I hope he recovers quickly.

with the way he played, i think he should keep the 1 on his back for the season, and robbie o shud be used as his back up, im sick of players getting retained becso tehyre club men or are senior players who arent performing, now that we have the depth in the backline, im in the mood ot cut some underachievers, and if seage keeps playing like alst night, i thnk robbie o shud be first

well said keeney - the knights have a chronic problem with putting loyalty over performance. i'm all for looking after the loyal guys at the club, but when it comes down to it, the club is there to succeed, and if there are better alternatives, they need to be able to make the tough decisions and cut them from the starting squad. they had all sorts of trouble doing it with Mark Hughes last year.

in all reality, with the starting back 5 of Seage, Tahu, M. Gidley, Hall and Quinn (jury is still out on Richardson), I cant see how Hughes or O'Davis can break into that squad - and thats not taking into account the rising juniors in the club! Same has to be said of Matt Parsons in the forwards - last nights effort just didnt cut it if we want to be a genuine premiership threat.

You can download whole games on the NRL site? Any idea when roughly they release these and how much space they take up?

They showed the full games last season so hopefully they are doing the same this year. The games are usually put up between 24-48 hours after kick off time.
