Jack de Belin, Braith Anasta and Dayne Weston are all facing stints on the sideline after being charged over the weekend.

De Belin has been hit with a grade one dangerous throw charge for his tackle on Sam Burgess and will miss a week if he takes the early guilty plea.

Tigers playmaker Anasta will also miss a week after being charged with a grade two shoulder charge on Sea Eagles winger David Williams. If Anasta fights the charge he risks two weeks on the sideline.

Storm forward Weston faces two weeks out after being charged with a grade two dangerous contact.

He's having a solid year so far, didn't think the tackle was that bad but after Alex it's to be expected.

Phil, the guy is playing hard and I rate him up there with the best.
Power doesnt just relate to attack.
His defence, bent the Burgess boys in two on the weekend. How many in our pack do that ?
I think pound for pound, he is right up there, and still developing.

JDB did 2 tackles in a row, both were perfectly clean putting a bloke on his back, I thought both were 1on1 front-on, but im going on memory.. unfortunately everyone is so revved up by the McKinnon incident that anyone leaving the ground is being seen the same as some 3rd bloke-in lifting between the legs..

The other bloke on report was Nightingale in one of the decisions that typified our night.. they dropped the ball and stayed down for the penalty.. got a review which eventually got them a penalty.. was a ludicrous situation for a bog standard tackle from Nightingale.

Was second to Merrin with 107 m last week bud.
PS.. he should be at lock not prop. He has also come of the bench early this year.

While I do agree the lifting tackle needs to be eradicated, but only lifting from between the legs, which it wasn't. JDB's tackle on Sam wasn't a typical spear. It was front on, cut him in half, drove up through the legs and unfortunately Sam panicked and twisted as he was coming down making it look a lot worse than what it was.

Just bad timing with poor Alex's injury being so recent. They will be cracking down on it for a long while.

Did anyone else notice a tackle on GI when I think Thompson was lifting one leg and GI hopped of his other leg and put himself in a dangerous position to play for a penalty. One of the few occasions the whistle wasn't blown...

Agreed. That's our problem... The club tends to over rate our forwards. At the moment we are perceived as soft given what Souths and Brisbane pack did to us. We will be hunted all year now.
