Hmmmmm, it was rumoured he may go to Manly last season......I wonder with all the extra cash they have for next season they are thinking of dangling a carrot in front of Michael....I for one wouldn't be upset if we signed him! :D

hes got nothing. he said in the 90's when he made a break he had mickie hancock and willie carne and than wendell sailor to pass it to. who have they got now? craig frwley who isnt playing bad but could't get away from anyone and minto and devere. devere hasn't got an attacking bone in his body.

Not many backline combinations compare favourably to the Broncos teams of the 90's. And in any event, you forgot to mention Tate, Berrigan and Karmichael Hunt (who are better strike players than Frawley or Minto). Minto only plays when there's an injury crisis or during the Origin period.

DeVere is a quality player. He is not much of a hitup merchant, but he is a brilliant defender and an excellent support player. Not to mention he always leads the kick chase and is very good at defusing kicks. He's managed 8 tries in 14 games so far this year (equal best for the Broncos) and is the NRL's leading point scorer with 150.

Pretty good for someone without an attacking bone in their body if you ask me.

but he is a brilliant defender

ive seen him at suncorp he doesn't go near the player. he waits for someone to go over the top. the only reason they keep him is because he's on nothing and hes such a proffessional at training. if alfie was coaching he wouldn't be there

Brad Meyers - worst forward in the league.

iggy plop - most uniformed poster on the forum

Brad Meyers has had a couple of lean seasons, agreed

but not this year - he has played great this year

so next time you go making a blanket statement about a player in a team that you don't watch closely ie dribbling from the mouth ..... just stfu and keep your uninformed comments to yourself :D

Oink !

Saw Meyers play for the Clydesdales a few weeks ago and went terrible. During one particular hit-up he lost his footing, fell to the ground and lost possession without a finger being laid on him.

He looked like new born deer - legs everywhere.

Bennett must let him go.

wish this forum would let you go

so uninformed .... laughable

haven't you got a Roosters fan to pick on ? go away and leave the hard stuff to somebody who knows

Oink !

I remember back a few years ago Broncos vs. Knights at ANZ. The winning try came from a De Vere Chip which he put up ran caught it and scored. De Vere was a pretty good kicker back in 2001 from what I can remember he could usually get them from the sidelines.

It would be a shame to let him go as he's usually our most solid player, though he lacks in attack.

Meyers had a pretty good match against Parra, he'd usually make 10m per hit up when he was on. Meyers in the QRL was making a few metres but the problem is he tries to keep the ball alive and he passes it behind himself so another guy can pick it up, usually resulting in a knock on by him or the player who was expecting the pass.
