Dean Byrne had another great game in Prmier League on Sat Night.

His kicking game in particular was very good, and created plenty of havoc for the dogs.

Him and Reece Simmons both consistently stand out above all others in that grade. If they are going to waste away the year in reserves I wouldn't blame them for looking for a start at another club as they are both first grade standard.

It is hard for Simmons considering that Hornby is also doing well, but there is room for Byrne now that Barrett could be out for a while.

Something will be amiss if he doesn't get a run this weekend.

If Simmons isnt wanted there feel free to point his nose towards Parra. I'd take him over Hornby any day.

I saw Byrne and Simmonds at the same time when I first noticed them at the beginning of last year. Theres no doubt in my mind that both have proven themselves to be top class players and yet they still remain in the reserves.

It not really surprising that they are good mates and that Simmonds was named as the player that Byrne likes playing with the most.
