Def Leppard w Cheap Trick

I will be attending this most definately. Heard a few songs from Lep's new one, and nothing to write home about so far. One song sounded almost 'nu-metal' in terms of music, but I thought his voice was still alright, and whilst the songs were kinda catchy; not as good as some of the classics.

Last time I heard Leppard Joe Elliott's voice was shot to bits, sounded terrible. That was live though, might sound better in the studio.

Was that live at Shiefield? yeah i agree his voice sounded bad, however Campbell and Collien made up for that with some brilliant lead duels.

Nah it was on some show on VH1. Just thinking about it, they (like everyone else here has mentioned) haven't done much for me since Hysteria, but geez they are a solid band. Rick Allen was always good (with 1 or 2 arms), Sav is a very underrated bass player, and Phil Collen provides punchy rock rhythms, throw in Viv and Joe and it really isn't as bad a band as some make out. Half the problem people have with them is that they were incorrectly labelled a metal act when they first broke internationally and on MTV.

I might have just talked myself into going to see them.

Mate i reckon they were awesome in their day, up untill 95 they were pretty damn good. Too this day when Joe sings the part to Photograph 'i wanna touch you' then lets out an awesome scream is just f**king incredible, my favourite Def lep song along with Rocket and Hysteria the song.

Phil was also a very under-rated guitarist, live at Shiefield he makes Vivian look second rate in the duels, watch it for yourself, and Vivian is no dud!

As for Leppard, Photograph remains a classic, so does Pour Some Sugar on Me etc etc.

White Lightning - brilliant

Slang was turd but Euphoria was classic Leppard. The tracks 'Paper Sun' and 'Day After Day' are superb.

I think it is worth it

Bon Jovi was $155 and those were for crap seasts.
KISS on their own were over a hundred.
Def Leppard + Cheap trick for 155 = good value IMO

I made my way down to the local Ticketek office to check out the prices. Ended up getting 5 seats at $99 a pop on the top tier (Euphoria) pretty much on the rail for myself and the lads.
