Pretty clear that our defensive issues revolve around our halves. Naiqama is suspect in defence as is so it must make it much harder having to help Moses out in a tight spot.

Brooks/Moses dilemma is really frustrating because I think they both have enormous potential and in an ideal world they would learn to defend and we would keep both. Let's say we lost Brooks and replaced him with a halfback who was solid in defence (e.g. Hodkinson). We could then focus on putting minders either side of Moses and really plug up our defence.

I really hope that Brooks/Moses improve their defence next year as I'm still clinging to the belief that one day they will form the ultimate halves combo.

What I see from these stats Madunit is good coaching....trouble is it is good coaching from every other coach in the NRL saying to direct traffic down our right hand side.

Seriously these are interesting but gee, I thought Kev missed twice as many as this!!!!

So the right side attempted 1305 tackles with 1016 made (77.9%) compared to the left attempting 953 tackles with 723 made (75.9%).

Pretty similar problems on both edges if you ask me. It just looks worse numbers wise as more traffic is directed at our right edge inflating the raw data.

Brooks' bad stats hurt the leftside stats

The problem on the left side is that Brooks was made to attemptmore 1 on 1 tackles than Moses.

So Brooks has no support defensively while the right side is a rabble.

Good communication would be a great start to improving the defence

Almost chocked on my cornflakes this morning when I heard that Kidwell, the man responsible for the defense at the Tigers is inline to be the Kiwi's next coach.

Mal Smellyfinger beware.

Since Kidwell arrived in 2014, he "improved" it to 25 ppg.
