How good has he been this season.
I think he will be a part of the New Zealand 17 come the tri-series..

He would have to be picked for the NZ team - I don't know if he would make the 1st 17 but in the team of 20 he would have to be selected.

I agree especially with the form of some. But Daniel Anderson will stick with the tried and true and let Halatau get experiance

See the thing about Dene is he can play Centre, Fullback, 5/8th, Lock, Back row and hooker - I think he could be selected and his form at the moment I would say that Sonny Bill is a mile in front of him but not too many others would be in front of him all over the park

As I said I don't know if he would be selected in the top 17 but in the top 20 I think he is more than a good chance provided he continues to play the way he is at the moment and stays injury free!

Hate to put a dampener on things but no chance. If he's looked on as a centre he's got Toopi and Vagana who will always get selected, even Whatuira is ahead of him possibly Lolessi and Sonny-Bill as centre candidates, if he's going for backrow there's Galuvao, Puletua, Kearney, Wiki, Lauitiiti, Williams, Faumuina, Kidwell etc., he ain't going to get picked ahead of them, Robbie Paul will be hooker, I'd look at Jerome Ropati as five eighth who's been playing very well and is starting to build a combination with Stacey Jones and I don't think they'll want to select a non regular as a fullback again following the Vagana affair.

 surely that has to go down as the single worst performance in representative football history. the only player who comes close to knocking him off his pedestal is justin hodges for his hilarious efforts in origin.

I thought that brent webb was considering changing his allegiance to nz. he would be an ideal specialist fullback for the kiwis

Whatuira went great for NZ in the Anzac test.

Tackled like a man possessed and against Manly was putting in a few good offloads.

he is nothing awesome he can hardly crack the tigers first grade
You havnt seen many Tigers games obviously. He's played about 80% of our games this year and makes a strong impact week in week out.He deserves a spot but wether or not he gets one is another thing. One things for sure he's well ahead of any Warriors player.
