Depth at hooker

Can anyone who watches the lower grade teams give me some info on the young hookers and wingers?

I fail to see the purpose of having lower grades, when all we do is re-shouffle the first grade squad and play players out of position rather than promote youngsters.

So - for those who watch the younger fella's go around - what have we got thats ready to go first grade (or at least have a crack) on the wings or in 9?

Thanks-!

I like the way you've spelled shuffle to broadly resemble souflé... Subtle, and quite effective.

I don't think anyone can answer your question, as it puzzles the lot of us. We were all pleasently suprised to see Tedesco get first crack at fullback this year, but unfortunetly it seems like that overloaded Sheens quota of giving young blokes a decent crack.

Stay tuned for a few young blokes to get a run later in the season. 4 minute runs off the bench I mean.

Pat Politoni got a run in the trials. Figured he was the obvious back up choice, especially early in the season.

Made perfect sense.

Hence why he wasn't picked.

In other threads along similar lines I've offered the comment / opinion that the reason this doesnt happen at WT under Teflon is that he has the first grade squad, his select few, so drilled with set plays that it is impossible for a player not 'in the know' to understand what is going on on the field. Hence, the have no chance of selection during the competition rounds as they will get in the way and be a hinderance. In Sheens mind it is better to reshuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic than bring in new players as the existing 'in crowd' know the moves.

Totally unfair and limiting the promotion potential for the younger players in lower grades but WT allow it.
