Alright, so Catalans are going strong, Toulouse in championship and wanting super league license. Elite comp going pretty strong.
Is it time that more $$ and development is put into Catalonia and Morocco?
It is so close geographically, catalonia is playing domestically and i believe in a french catalan comp. Morocco i believe has a uni comp, plus players in french comps.
In comparison to the hard work and the level the USA and Jamaica teams are at, no where near as much resources would be needed to improve these areas in a huge way.
Just may opinion. People say japan, south africa, canada etc need more help. Although these nations do need help, they are slowly getting there. With a small amount of funds and time, catalonia and morocco could be competing in more than just the bowl comps, and be at a level to not be thrashed by france.
Any thoughts? Ideas of how to improve with limited funds? (i.e. the Barcelona match between wolves and dragons)

In terms of Catalans, the number one priority would be to get funding from the Catalonia government/assembly. I have no idea how this can be achieved but having the Catalans Dragons and a domestic league surely must help. We are one of the few sports who recognize Catalonia as a nation (they have their own national team) so again aligning ourselves with them might not be too difficult. Of course it might make it harder to develop in Spain though.

Morocco I wouldn't bother spending any money on. There is currently no work actually done in Morocco, with a few North African players in the Elite 1 and Elite 2. Forget Morocco for the moment.

Catalonia domestically have apparently dropped off the map, which is a great shame. Apparently the RLEF can't afford to recognise Catalonia at risk of upsetting the EU, and possibly losing out on a lot of funding. That was the explanation given to me by some English guys who are based there. I don't have any issues with that, I've never been a supporter of non-nations competing internationally. Not sure if the Catalonia domestic competition apparently finishing is because of this or not, but I'd guess not.

Why not just compete as Spain and save Catalans colours for special rep games?

I could see a French vs Spanish Catalans Origin game 10-15 years down the track.
