Come off it mate, to spit at someone first you have to know where they are. Monaghan was spitting, but I doubt he aimed it at anyone in particular.
The more important question is did anyone see Junior Sau deliberately drop a forearm into Monaghan's head that he should have been penalised and possibly sent off for? Because I sure did.
Monaghan didnt spit at anyone.
I watched the replay a few times last night and there was no dropped elbow or forearm from Sau. There was a late attempt to roll Monaghan to prevent the try. Initial contact was the back and made second incidental contact to the head as he tried to roll him.
You are seeing things that are not there skeepe. It was not there.
Just like Canberra in offence. It kind of looked like attack, but on closer inspection.... there was nothing there.
That above is my attempt at humour. Apologies in advance, it wont happen again.
