Did this actually happen????

I'm fairly certain that this actually happened, but it was a long time ago and the mind can play tricks. So if anyone can verify it, that would be awesome.
It was 1992 or 93 Broncos v Illawarra. Illawarra were awarded a try after not one but two quite obvious knock-ons. And just to make things worse the conversion missed but was awarded. I can remember being in a state of disbelief for some time but I don't remember if it was mentioned by the commentators at the time. It may have cost the Broncs the game but didn't greatly affect their overall season. Am I going mad? Please help!

Here's the thing, the fact you are thinking about this and obviously extremely concerned suggests you have a serious mental condition and need help. Sooooon!

Yeah random question but I do remember one year, could've been 93 or 94, who knows, the Steelers v Broncos, the conversation was missed but one Touchie had a flag up and the other was waiving it to say missed, the ref gave the goal

What a heavy burden to have carried that thought for all that time. Talk to a mate.

Myles: 1992 or 93 Broncos v Illawarra, do you remember Gal?
Gal: I think so. It was a long time a go. Nothings changed Mylesy.

Reckon it was 92 in the Gong and it was FNF.

As above one touchies flag up, the other down and the ref ruled conversion successful.

TV replays showed that it missed.

As for the knock on parts, I don't remember that at all.

I think its safe to say that this bad call cut so deep up Brisbane way that the broncos ran away and tried to start their own comp

something dodgy about that southern end of win stadium..

it was either 93 or 94 vs the raiders where laurie daley made a conversion, but it was ruled no goal...

To be fair, Daley was a incomparable talent, but a genuinely shit goal kicker.

Ha yep, after being rorted into winning the 92 and 93 Grand finals.

The NSWRL even convinced Saints to throw the 1993 grand final after they tried too hard the year before, but the broncos just couldn't shake the memory of being robbed a conversion.

Poor buggers, really puts super league in perspective

The only way to make this right is to replay the match with the original sides.

Thanks Muzby for verifying this for me. Nice to know I'm not going completely senile yet. If it was that game, it didn't affect the result. It was one of those things we are probably unlikely to see happen again with two refs and video refs.

Ha, you sure about that.
