Didier Drogba - Who Can Stop This Man??!!

Drogba is in the most amazing form.

His first two seasons at Chelsea were plauged by injury and inconsistent form. He showed flashes of genuine quality but his stack of misses from close range and poor first touch let him down way too often.

This season he is the form striker in world football. He has 17 goals and is Top scorer in the CL and the Premiership. He has scored stunning goals of the highest quality. His finishing and touch have improved dramatically, and as always his strength and power on the ball is brutal.

He is inspiration at the moment. he works so hard for the team. Often as a lone ranger against the narrow, rigid diamond formation. If he is not banging balls in from 35 yards, he is playing centre back in the last 5 minutes clearing away corners and fighting to hold onto victory. Alongside Terry and Lampard he is the heart of the Chelsea team and would undoubtedly be captain should both be out injured.

I can't believe some of the screamers he has been scoring this season. Surely Drogba, together with that Pompey player (Taylor?), will be the players with most goals nominated for "goal of the season".

David Villa is far better than Drogba and has been for the past season or 2..

Oh and I still rate Fernando Torres above him also...

Yep Drogba has hit top form and is the best currently in the Premiership (mainly as a result of Henry's poor form/injuries) but still he isn't a patch on some of the strikers in La Liga:-

- Eto'o
- Ronaldo
- van Nistelrooy
- David Villa
- Morientes
- Torres
- and even Freddy Kanoute (don't laugh he is having an amazing season)

I'd like to see Torres move from Athletico.

agreed about torres but i'm sure i read somewhere that the atletico president said he wasnt gooing cheaply and some ridiculous figure was given for a possible tranfer. i'm sure it was higher than any transfer fee i have seen before.

I normally try and watch The Seria A match on Sunday Night. Although for some reason fox always seems to choose a match between two rubbish sides down the bottom. Again, La Liga, If One of the Top 4 are playing I try and watch it on the full replay on Monday or Tuesday Night.

I also watch most the Televised Champions League Games as well as having seen practically all the games at the World Cup.

I have seen enough of Ronaldo, Morientes, Kanoute etc to know that Drogba is definetly on par with them currently. Morientes was woeful at Liverpool. Ronaldo has had a shocking season. Eto'o is quality but he is out injured long term. Van Nistelroy has always been quality. Kanute, was a bit of an enigma in the PL, great one week, gone missing the next.

David Villa is the only one I don't know much about. I know Chelsea are keen on him though;-)

Of course they are. They've realised they've effectively wasted the millions of roubles that they've spent on Shevchenko. They really are scum.
