Rather than spend the majority of my day searching the web, I thought I'd turn here for a bit of advice.

I'm fairly confident that what I do in the gym is effective as I've progressed a long way as far as strength goes since I started about 7-8 months ago, but I know my diet leaves a lot to be desired as I have next to no clue what I should be eating to maximise my strength and muscle gain.

So, can anybody offer me some advice in terms of what kinds of food I should be eating, and how much? I'm 16, 6'3 and about 85kg if any of that is relevant.

Well you will want to load your body with protein and carbs.

You need to be eating 6 meals a day...
Some good food to be eating:

Sweet Potatos
Brown Rice
Chicken
Tuna
Steak
