where are all u dragons fans getting the idea that the sharks have anything to do with the gold coast? (<dragonschik) whats this crap about getting lost to the gold coast?

the only thing that the gold coast has in common with the shire is that they are both beautiful paradises with long sunny beaches.

1967, Cronulla split from the Dragons and form their own team... The end of 11 years of superiorty ends. 1998, The Dragons sell out and merge. The end of the MIGHTY ST GEORGE TEAM in the HIGHEST League, which is now the NRL. It only took Cronulla 31 years to wipe out ST GEORGE :p

They also seem to forget that prior to 1967, blokes from the Shire played for their mighty, but now extinct, St George.

As for the Gold Coast rubbish, that's just wishful thinking from Dimitri. He hopes that by saying it often enough, that it will become true. The same sort of logic he uses to reassure himself that the team that won all those premierships years ago is still alive and kicking in the NRL today.
