Back in the ring for round 3, seemingly for more punishment.

Our opponent has taken it easy on us in Rounds 1 & 2 but things are about to really step up I feel. This could get ugly!

However, I get a strange feeling that this might be our round....short term memory loss?

Bellamys watertight defensive structure will have no problems with whatever our halves 'create'.

Plus the fact he knows 3 tries and we can't catch them.

I reckon things will get ugly tonight. Melbourne are not quite the team the used to be but if we play like we have been down there we will get 40 put on us.

I am usually the eternal optimist but I think the Sharks have finally broken me.

Our 2015 record is stinking the entire NRL up at the moment so I have absolutely no reason to say this but these are typically the games that we win in. No one gives us any chance at all. Smells like Broncos 2014 followed by Roosters 2014. No confidence at all but after 48 years nothing surprises me with this mob. Sharks by 1 point.

Agree. We tend to win when written off. This may be close but cannot tip us. My head says Storm 13+. We need to improve quick smart. I have seen at least 8 teams better than us so far.

Crazy thing is, had we won our two winnable home fixtures we would be joint top. Then we would excuse a Storm loss. Dragons look as bad if not worse than us. Can't see Cowboys not winning a few. Please don't get us involved in another spoon shoot out.

In the scheme of things an ugly win or a grinding win over a Storm team that don't turn up is a negative.
It just lets Flanno think what he's doing (well, NOT doing) on the training paddock is working.

Cutting thru all the bullshit - the bottom line is: we need change.

To simply continue to do what we do and the way we do it will amount to us never competing for the title.

The harshest element for supporters is that we have the roster to compete with the 2nd tier teams.
The Manlys and bulldogs.

But we can't at the moment.

I'm a Sharks tragic. I love the team.

I grew up watching sludge, Gav and ET. 3 players who tore the comp apart with their attacking prowess.

I do not relate to this club at all at the moment. I recognise the colours but the team bores me and shits me to tears.

I'm not talking about the ebbs of flows of having good years and bad years I'm talking about the hamster on The wheel we have become in the past decade.

Shit footbal followed by another season of shit football followed by another.

My club has been hijacked by amateurs.

Whereas I would spend the weekend depressed once if we lost and look forward with excitement to the next game - I have absolutely none of that. Haven't for ages.

I'm not even watching the game this afternoon. The result has no bearing on our season. We play a game the top teams don't.

I should walk but love the club too much.

So here's a tip - don't read my posts. Skip them.

yep I've been a supporter "since 73" too and would absolutely love to see the return to the John Lang days.
Up until last season I watched every game of the round on fox but the reality is we play boring footy( losing footy).
I live in Brissy and used to fly to Sydney a couple of times a year to watch the mightys play. I used to be a paid up member of both clubs from 2003. Now I've lost a lot of passion, mainly because of the sharkies performance over the last couple of years. I'm lucky to watch a couple of games a weekend( always watch the sharks}, hoping that we play some decent footy.

Put me down as No.2 then.
Couldn't have put it any better than Since 73 in terms of my feelings.
Went to the first game and couldn't believe the boredom, don't agree, listen to the crowd during the game, it was quiet and lacks any atmosphere whatsoever...pretty hard to take considering it was our first game back for the year. I can remember going to a titans game a few years back in the pouring rain that had more atmosphere.

Even last year I followed and watched, I think after round 1 I was pretty dirty but now just accepting the fact of another so-so season. Sooner changes are made the better, whether that be the coach or not, I don't care, just give s something to get excited about - jagging a win by grinding it out is losers talk, got to look to play the fuggin game, not just hope..
