I heard this interview. Maybe Dino should not have mentioned the club may become redundant. Even though it was 2 seconds over a 10 minute interview, it is something that the arse-scribes will pick up on.

Thanks for the heads up Roboshark.

Dino speaks very well.

Great to hear Dino fighting for the home ground advantage.

I'm sure the Cowboys are quietly peeved we are assuming we'll finish second.

redundant = no longer needed or useful; superfluous.
not sure if he meant shark park be redundant or obsolete
but, if we are left behind on the stadium...sharks to the nrl...possibly redundant

I guess it’s not rocket science to realise that if the ground doesn’t get some money put in to it in the next 5-10 years, then we’ll probably be playing the majority of our games at the SFS

Dino mentioning it could work in our favour
i agree there's no reason why we shouldnt get our slice of the pie
we deserve funding as much as the others
only last year out of 11 straight have we missed playing final footy
the nrl need to be to careful, a tree wont grow if you cut out the roots.

He is just speaking before thinking….
Nice guy and too me, being realistic - maths is simple - no govt backing and it is either private backer or bend over to the NRL. The later seems more realistic

Sharks aren't going anywhere... That whole leagues club and precinct is based on winning ongoing patrons who experience the facilities on game day. NRL are holding off on knocking it on the head in the hope that the Cows keep second spot. Main priority should be making the joint up to scratch for next year and beyond for semis cause I see us being top 4 more often than not in upcoming years.

As a sharks fan I want to pack Allianz week 1 and 3 and intimidate the cowboys to the point of shitting themselves like 2016.

Love shark park but not for semis.
I would agree with that except for this year. Sharks are building up to a future where there is a large national fan base, and a fanatical , loyal local fan base where the "outsider fans " want to come for the experience during the normal season. Its a little disappointing that the facilities aren't up to scratch yet , but the benefits of the home semi at this stage would help advertise the team and its future and the future prospects of shark park (and surroundings ) as a marketable and viable option for footy fans , families and general tourists to spend a few days in the area. I think Dinos shot about redundancy was a confident warning to NRL ... Be careful you don't stuff it up and lose us! More so than the fearful cap in hand pleas of the past. Our systems ,our squad, our results this yr ,our prospects for years to come are looking good... only hiccup is progress on the actual grounds .

Nah, play it at Shark Park. We’ve lost one game all year there. Let them have the home ground advantage and skip to week 3.

Then we play there.
