Disgusting Lacklustre Performance - goes the Louisville police who arrested Scotty Scheffler today. How do you not know the #1 golf player in the world who was driving into the course in a clearly visible tournament car.
Scotty has been charged with 2nd degree assault on an plain clothed policeman who was pulling him out of his car.
Special mention to the moron ESPN reporter who stood by and failed to inform the police that they have just arrested a prominent golfer when it was clear the police didn't know who he was. The police even asked the reporter who it was that they just arrested - the ESPN reporter kept his mouth shut. If he had advised the police that they have arrested Scotty - they may have released him then and there as a total misunderstanding.
Finally the police record at time of arrest is very interesting - it describes Scotty's Race as - White/Euro/N Afr/Mid Eas????
To save embarrassment - the Louisville police should drop all charges before the end of the day.

Yes quite a bit embarrassing and I hope that Scheffler is exonerated from all charges. It didn't affect Scheffler's round 2 score finishing the day at 9 under in The 2024 PGA Championship so well and truly in contention to win another major and another tournament this year.

He wasn't wearing police clothing - Scotty thought he was part of the security that patrols the entrance to the golf course. Players (in their clearly marked tournament cars) almost always simply drive in - no questions asked.

S S was driving so he is just that like any other driver of a vehicle and is subject to following all rules and directions given by the police.

Being the no 1 ranked golfer in the world offers him no privileges.

If he was non compliant then he got what he deserved imagine if it was Tiger he might not have made it to the course at all.
