The Giants are my sleeper team for 2015 if Eli can get his shit together. He has a lot of weapons but it's all on him and his inconsistent arm that will determine their fate in 2015.

I would have agreed with that, except they just lost their LT to a pec injury. Huge blow.

I honestly think the Cowboys could implode this season without a bell cow RB and the loss of Murray cannot be underestimated. I also wonder about the longevity of Romo. Has had an injury plagued career with that bad back and the D is ok if Sean Lee can stay healthy.

I think the AFC West is interesting...

At the end of the last season I was thinking the Broncos will be overtaken this coming season... They just looked tired...

Obviously being a Raiders fan I'd love to say we were going to overtake them... But that won't be happening for at least another season...

But I genuinely thought the Chargers or the Chiefs would take over the Broncos...

Looking at the Rosters now start to come together.... I don't know if the other 2 have done enough to catch the Broncos.

Maclin will help the Chiefs... And Melvin Gordon is a nice addition to the Chargers... But I think the Broncos are still number 1

I don't think we will ever find out what was happening with the Broncos behind closed doors in the second half of last season. When twitter is saying (or correctly predicting) John Fox to Chicago the morning before your playoff game you know something is up. I think they will be rejuvenated this year but will need to get off to a quick start with the new schemes as the schedule is tough. If San Diego can go back to what they did well running the ball in 2013 then they will be a big challenge.

The Broncos will be more of run first offense in 2015 with a ZBS in place. It will alleviate some of the pressure of Manning to throw and if he has two decent RB's in Anderson and Ball and maybe convert Thompson to a FB, then it will be a balanced offense.

The D will be fine with Ware and Miller on the edge and Ray in the rotation. It's the O line that worries me the most. Unless the blocking for Manning improves, then it could be a tough season ahead. I think Green and Daniels will do just fine at TE but we don't look as explosive without Thomas and Welker.

Maclin is a gain for the Chiefs but the dink and dunk stuff that Reid runs is fairly easy to defend against, hence the reason no WR scored a td last season. Bowe is gone but they do have a very good D that is elite so it should be interesting to see how the AFC West pans out this season.

Not sold on the Chargers this season. They could be great but usually end up being inconsistent and I expect more of the same tbh.

KC is interesting. Like that team a lot this year

The fact that they didn't have a single receiver find the endzone last season just scares me...

That to me says more about the QB and the schemes they run than the actual receivers they have... So I'm not sure plugging in Maclin is going to fix it like alot people have been saying.

I also think the issues with Justin Houston are much bigger than the organisation are letting on.... I say that because there was some serious talk from certain teams about giving up the two firsts in order to get Houston.

Keep an eye on that situation IMO...

Yeah we need to start drafting a QB, I think that it's probably been in the works but nobody looked good last few years.
We really don't have a team capable of going all the way, we always seem to be bubbling but missing one or two pieces.
It's frustrating.

My partner, apart from being a passionate Blues and Panthers supported, has also chosen to follow the Giants after I introduced her to NFL last year.
I tried to plead Seahawks or Green Bay, to no avail, so we'll have some heated tv viewing these next few months!

You hope they do.

Yes Lee is a very good player when fit, but we did ok last season without him. This season Lee will be moved from 'mike' to 'will' backer which should take some physical strain off him. Hopefully he will stay injury free this season.

As for the loss of Murray, well I don't think its going to be as big a problem as you believe. The Cowboys ran him in to the ground last season in the expectation they were not going to keep him. The Cowboys run game is based around what the OL does and at the moment the OL may be the best in the game.

Last season Romo had if not his best season, one of his best. For the first time in three seasons he had no off-season surgery. He will come in to this season prepared for another big season. And he will be protected by that OL>

I believe the Cowboys will draft a quarterback when they believe they need to. That could well be next year or it could be three years from now. But right now they are quite happy with Romo. Its possible that he has another two or three years left in him. Especially with him playing behind that OL.

I don't believe you draft a qb and spend years grooming them as your future starter. That usually means you have groomed him for another team.

Aaron Rodgers & Russell Wilson might disagree with that.
Yeah they've always been happy with him, but things don't tend to change very much.
And I'm not hugely familiar with what he's done with his back but if it's disk related then it's basically like driving without car insurance.
So yeah, he might have that amount left in him but we need to start looking at someone else either for his slowing down or injurywise.

Rodgers was drafted in 2005 and the Packers had time to groom him before he become their starter four years later. Times have changed since then and teams just aren't keen can't to do that today. You draft a quarterback high in the draft he is expected to the starter in his first season or at worst his second.

As for Wilson, well Seattle was in need of a quarterback when they drafted him in 2012. They didn't spend time grooming him either as he was their starter that season.

I think it's one of the problems teams have when they draft a quarterback in the first round or even in the early rounds, they put too much pressure on him.

As for looking for Romos successor well that could happen as early as next years draft. Really will depend on how his body stands up this season. If the Cowboys have doubts about him for 2016 then I suspect they will go shopping for a new quarterback.
