Do we really miss Crusher

Yeah I forgot to actually say something about the question....Crusher - yeah I reckon we miss him - its no necessarily that he "brings young talent to the club" cos anyone can do that - its more that he "relates well to them" cos he went through it himself and that makes them feel comfortable once they get here and play to their potential.

I wouldn't give Crusher or Jamie the time of day after what has happened, but there's obviously a bond there which helped Jamie along....Crusher does well with the young guys.

Strides...not that I think he is back on board to do a lot of talent scouting but over the years I have heard that Sharpie is held in a high regard wherever he's been and he comes across that way from when I have seen him on the tele.

I've heard the Johns boys speak highly of him when he was at Newie, the Storm boys rated him, he was out of luck, money and good players at Manly and is obviously respected at Parra to be back at the joint.

I know he'll have his hands full with the NRL side but I'm sure he would fill that "relates well to them" void you refer to.

I think that this year we are seeing the results of the recruiting that Noel Cleal has been doing - I mean he left at the beginning of the year, so he would've brought the players in over the last few years!

But our strength has always been in the juniors - look back to the "dark days" of the mid 90's - we still fielded pretty handy lower grade sides!! So I don't know how sensational Cleal was!

As for this year - you look at the Flegg side we COULD'VE fielded and just have to see how the stress of a few big injuries weaken the entire club - players just have to keep moving up to fill spaces!

Both Mark Horo and Daniel Anderson contributed to getting the Peranara boys to the club. ;-)

Didn't think Daniel Anderson would help, He isn't at the Parra club. Well atleast yet.

I can tell you that Anderson had advised for Marcus to come to the club. I was told by Horo.
