Do you know anyone who plays rugby league?

I was wondering how many people at LU actually play rugby league or know someone who does?

So tell me what club you play for and at what level?

And at which club's do your children, brothers, friends, collegues etc play for and in which grade?

Also, how did your/their team go in 2006?

I know there are people who read more than post from several clubs - notably Parramatta.
I think they prefer to remain anonymous to avoid worrying that their every word will be dissected by the gutter press.

As to lower level involvement - I have a little bit to do with a couple of clubs in the Lower Hunter second division - mostly donating items for them to raffle, and giving their club presidents the benefit of my ignorance.

My 9 yo played for Nth Ryde Hawks - Balmain Jnrs this year.
His 6th year playing including 2 years playin RU & RL together..
They made the semis this year for the first time, only realising
when it was too late just what semis footys all about.
I help out in an unofficial role at training.

There are a couple of new jnr refs that post on LU, & I think Preachers young'un plays in Dogs jnrs.

One of my friends was playing A-Grade for Mounties in the Parramatta district.

But he suffered too many injuries and i think he may have retired now. I think Mounties were travelling pretty poorly as well.


One of my cousins held a record at one club for most games for the club. I can't remember which club it was (somewhere around Chipping Norton or Liverpool maybe?).

Apart from that i don't know many people who play.
