Before this year I did not watch the NRL only Premier League and for obvious reasons I will now support the Sharks in their efforts to win their maiden premiership.

Sharks for me as well. Grew up and Engadine, where our PE teacher was DOCKING, and fellow school mates went on to play for the Sharks in 1st grade. Paul BELL, Mitch HEALY

Mates were and still are sharks mad.

I will never have the passion for them like I have for my beloved Jets though, however if I was to pick, definately the sharks.

This deal suits me fine actually, as can go to the away games with mates, and watch both games now.

Sharks to win their first Premiership in 2005.

Jets to play JB and Premier League grand finals prior to that game on national television.

Feeder agreement or not, I couldn't give a stuff about the Sharks.

I followed Penrith from when I was six. At that age I had no idea that Penrith was 50km west and there were around half a dozen teams closer to home. I just liked Greg Alexander.

I still check their results but don't have anywhere near the passion for them as I do for the Jets.

My family and I come from Marrickville and love Newtown. But we have lived in the Shire for over 35 years so it is the Sharks all the way for us in the Show (NRL). I played for Engadine Dragons and this year my son has started playing for the Mighty Engadine Dragons. One of Newtown's favourite sons, Scott Fleming young bloke is now following in his footsteps and also started playing for the Dragons.

It's also great that a alot of my mates who are Sharks supporters are now also following Newtown with a great deal of interest.

So the large number of ex-Newtown people/supporters who live in the Shire have the best of both Worlds.
