Personally I think yes... Everyone I saw was on the edge of their seats and right into the game after the fights.

After the Mason/Fieldon/Peacock fight at the SFS the entire crowd was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric. My sister who doesn't even like sport let alone RL couldn't take her eyes off the Aus/NZL game after the Vatuvi/King fight followed by the Kidwell/Mason incident... and the Senior and Matai incident and finger pointing/aggression from Senior last night was absolutely awsome.

But I'm hearing from the telecrap that this biff has to go, the games reaching a new low and its somehow "ruining" the series.

So what do you think ?

Love the biff, it's an art that has been long lost from our game for some time. Most entertaining tri nations yet.

I like it, I love it. I heard Noble say something along the lines of "after that first blue, and seeing the crowd in a frenzy, I knew we were in a fair dinkum old fashioned test."

The games admin has a lot to answer for, I think theyre overprotective at times, worrying about the possible negative impact, violence, biff whatever you wanna call it may have on junior development/recruitment...and rightly so too, many of my sons mates mums are under the impression junior league is too rough, which is garbage unless lil johnny is lil jenny.

Most who go to the games love it when a stink starts imo....I think theres something missing when a game has no blues.

Loving the biff in the current series.

Years ago, one of the great things about rep footy was that players could get away with stuff that they wouldn't be allowed to at club level.

Then it all got sanitised and the game at rep level lost something (I think it started after the '91 or '92 origin series, when Mark Geyer let fly with elbows to the Queenslanders' heads left, right and centre).

Not condoning dirty play or thuggery, but who doesn't love a bit of a stink on the footy field.

I liked the Kidwell-Mason incident a lot and the Senior-Matai spat.

I thought the Mason punch on Fielden was unfortunate as knowing Fielden as I do there was not a cat in hells chance he was going to throw a punch. He was merely standing to Mason's intimidation.

The Mason incident with Long was disgraceful and it has somewhat taken the edge off the tournament for me. It's clear now that nothing would result in a meaningful ban.
