That was a great try. I didn't think he was still capable of that. Poor defence or not, he really wound the clock back with the footwork.

I'm glad he doesn't have to play against the Cows in the WCC, that would be weird.
He doesn't have to play against anyone, he's retired now, the GF was his retirement match. It was also by far his best performance since being in Super League, in fact he spent a good chunk of this season in the reserves while Wigan played a 20 year old 5/8th at FB.

Give me RTS's footwork anyday of the week. TBH RTS makes Mango's footwork (in his prime) look a bit like Blockers's best footwork.

You can't be serious mate. RTS is awesome but 'footwork' would be the only area where Mango would have him covered. Some of those trys in his early days (01-05)were out of control.

Just to add, I would love to see him run out in our colours one last time in the Auckland 9's. Would be a fitting way to end his career. Plus it saves Lachlan Coote from getting busted again..........
