He said this because he genuinely believed before the season that we would be a top 4 side. Nobody could have predicted the Moses injury which obviously became a bigger mental obstacle to our players than what we thought. This next man up horseshit didn’t work. Moses injured showed that not only is he our best player but we resigned him for a steal.
Are you saying that because Moses got injured we have to sack BA?

EDIT: or is that what Hindy111 is saying?

I'm swayed, you have persuaded me...there is no responsibility on BA for the way we play, no coach could make any difference really.

He is as good as anyone else and should therefore be extended. Winning premierships don't matter as we have won four in the past and that should be enough for a small, underfunded, poorly resourced little club from Western Sydney.

Hopefully the board sees things the way the true fans on this forum see things.

I grant that I am probably being unfair and if so, I apologise.

But I am so frustrated with the inexorable and inevitable slide to mediocrity and the willingness of so many people to not only accept it, but actively justify it and absolve the coaching staff from any blame.

you are less strident than others but you are no less determined to resist change that may lead to success at this club

You could also be wrong in your assertion that I am resistant to change at the club and at the coaching level. Just because I dont post every unfiltered thought I have on the matter doesnt mean I dont want the change. I have other channels than this forum to vent my frustrations and concerns and rest assured, there are people in the club who know my views quite well.

That last line is quite worrying if people in the club are listening to the fans

Isnt a common complaint on here that the club doesnt listen to us fans?

Of course because we are experts on a forum ffs..

But let's pretend the club took on your advice.. why your advice why not anyone else's...

Are you giving them shit advice now?

Settle down bud. I was accused of not being keen to get rid of BA simply because I asked a reasonable question of Hindy111. My response was to mention that I do occasionally make comments to certain people in the club and share my views - not that I give them advice on what to do. What they choose to do with my opinions is totally up to them.

I reckon we would be in even more strife if we lost Gutho instead of Mitch.

We don't really know because Mitch hasn't played without Gutho since round 5, 2018 and we lost all 5 games to start the year that season when Gutho was still recovering from his ACL.

Gutho has only missed 2 games since and both times Mitch wasn't there either.

But I think that Moses is more important know to the team then what Gutho.

Is it a slide to mediocrity or is missing the finals for a couple of years just a normal part of our club’s boom/bust cycle? We’ve been here before, under Monie (‘acceptable’ because we had won the comp), Smith and Anderson/Kearney/Stuart. I get that it is tradition to sack coaches during this phase, but what kind of coach would want to be here for it?
