Does our club need a new deodorant?

As a club, we are unable to attract marquee players.

I suspect the reasons behind this predicament include but is not limited to:

1. our inability to arrange TPA’s
2. our inability or unwillingness to explore grey area as regards player payments commonly referred to as “the sombrero”
3. The lack of a credible head of football operations and recruitment
4. Our failure to train and play from one ground
5. Our failure to identify and develop our own juniors (too many examples to list)

We have 2 of the building blocks, a good coach and conditioning/performance professionals.

All of the above weaknesses are capable of being addressed by a strong BOD that collectively has the right skills.

Until the make up of the board includes people with the right skills we will continue to wander aimlessly in the wilderness.

We have a premiership winning coach with 2 dollar reject blokes like Haran & Millward being anchors to the club.

Then you have 50% owners called WIN that can’t seem to win us anything in corporate or footy world.

Sorry, but we have morphed into the struggling Steelers.

Two home grounds is one of if not the biggest one that contributes to a complete lack of identity. When players think of being a Dragons player it should be looked upon as prestigious, historic, famous. It's seen as a poorly run, in-fighting filled, basket case of a club who still can't make up their mind on the direction of the place. It's so frustrating because all the right pieces are genuinely there for the Dragons to be a force in the comp year in, year out, but the incompetence of the board, their lack of ambition, and the unwillingness of anyone to put their hand up and make the tough call continues to hamstring us. It needs to be one ground, maybe 1 game a year at the other, with a vision towards a stadium rebuild in 5-10 years time of said chosen home ground, future proofing the club in the long-term. Run down Kogarah and WIN will not help us 25-30 years from now, it isn't good enough as professional sport progresses, with these things becoming more and more important.

I think Flanno can fix 4 and 5 to a large extend. 1,2 & 3 that is up to mgt and the board. Thats the part that needs to change.
