I cant remember perfectly but the main one was obviously the difference in the peformance of the two sides. Don Furner also spoke about the fact that the average Brumby is in the wallabies and gets a stack of exposure while the Raiders dont have a rep player or many media personallities, which is what alot of the fans (as opposed to the supporter) go to the game to see.
But the other reason was that people will commit to a cheaper 5 or 6 game season ticket alot sooner then they will a 13 game one. The Raiders introduced some smaller packages this season and the sold well but as per usual they needed to be marketed better.
The weather was another factor.
I dont think it was mentioned but the ARU national marketing is tailored state by state, so the Brumbies get a high quality targeted promotional campaign for free on top of their own. Something the NRL should look at imo.
Even though the Brumbies have an easier time of it, im not taking anything away from their management. The Raiders are trying to copy some of the things they have done for a reason.
