This is the key game for the season. If we win, the journey continues. If we lose, the dream of the 8 is no more.

I'm still going with the allowance for 2-3 losses. It's been that sort of comp this year. Nothing is assured.

Agreed, but winning this one will go a long way toward proving that we can foot it with the big boys.

It's been a while since anyone's done one of these (wasn't it Kipper who used to do it?)

BULLDOGS vs WARRIORS head to head:

Luke Patten vs Brent Webb
Hazem El Masri vs Patrick Ah Van
Sonny Bill Williams vs Tony Martin
Willie Tonga vs Simon Mannering
Cameron Phelps vs Manu Vatuvei
Daniel Holdsworth vs Jerome Ropati =
Brent Sherwin vs Grant Rovelli =
Mark O'Meley vs Ruben Wiki
Tony Grimaldi vs Nathan Fien =
Roy Asotasi vs Steve Price (c) =
Willie Mason vs Awen Guttenbeil
Andrew Ryan (c) vs Louis Anderson
Reni Maitua vs Sione Faumuina =
Brad Morrin vs Lance Hohaia
Nate Myles vs Evarn Tuimavave =
Chris Armit vs Wairangi Koopu =
Dallas McIlwain vs Micheal Luck

Bulldogs 8.5
Warriors 8.5

Should be an absolute ripper of a contest!!

Sonny Bill is going to have a feild day in the centres....
Especially if Tony Martin's marking him...

And i thought that the Bulldogs home game against the Warriors was played at Wellington??

I think Mannering's marking him, he's about the same size as SBW and should be able to handle him physically. SBW isn't that quick so we won't have to worry about him beating us with pace.
Tonga might cause Martin some problems though.

that deal to play in Welly between the two sides expired a while back and it's not happening again.

Sonny Bill slow?? i read in rugby league weekly at the beginning of the year that he is the fastest in the bulldogs team over 40 metres.....

Wairangi Koopu should be put in the centres marking Sonny Bill he's a mad man in defense....

He's fast for a forward, but he doesn't have the same sort pace as guys like Gasnier for example. It's not his pace that makes him dangerous in the centres it's his ability to bust the line with strength and offload. Mannering should handle him ok although I agree Koopu could also do a similar job. Mannering handly looked short of pace when he scored that 70m intercept against the panthers.

Nate Myles = Tuimavave.... No f**king way!

Tuimavave is the most improved from rower in the competition this year, just ask the Tigers fans what he did to their side the last time they met. Bomberman is a good player (hell he made Origin) but he's not that wonderful.
