Canterbury missed the finals on 3 occasions between 1994 and 2004 - 1996, 2000, and 2002.

That said I can't see us falling out of contention this year, we have too much firepower coming back. And I don't believe 13th is accurate of ours or Penrith's performances - both our teams have been unlucky and/or come very close, which IMO is a good sign. We managed to come within 7 or 8 points of the two competition leaders - a feat that some teams above us haven't. With SBW back next week, games against Souths, Newcastle, a bye, and of course Tonga Myles etc back a few weeks later, things can only get better. Watch for the climb to start with Melbourne on Saturday night.

I've got premierships to make me feel good and not failed attempts in the finals, two of them actually.... And good it feels good.

It doesnt have to be original it just has to be genuine old friend.

The poor ole sharkies have had sh*t seasons and no premierships, the knights have had sh*t seasons and 2 premierships.

If the Dogs scrape into the eight, the Sharks will be very worried. Same goes for the Roosters or the Dragons... In fact the Sharks would be lucky to beat Newcastle in September.

yeah at the end of the day the sharks have nothing over the dogs, keep bringing up the odd win you had over the dogs here and there but overall the sharks are no where near the club canterbury is and the truth is they probably never will be. tell me if i'm wrong but arent the sharks still without a premiership? cant see them getting one anytime soon either. you can talk it up in here as much as possible but its really worthless isnt it?!

It's a huge call to say the dogs will not make the 8 but at this stage I would not be putting my money on them to make it, if they don't it will only be because of an injury plagued season.

Much as i am happy about the sharks position on the ladder so far, I feel for the teams with injury problems, we've all been in the same boat and it sucks.
