and name Dan Campbell as interim.

Didn't take long, four weeks for the first coach to be sacked. I wonder who will be next. Will it be the 49ers.

They will get Tomsula a season at least, probably two, or it reflects poorly on those that hired him in the first place.

Absolutely

Kap will be the fall guy first, Tomsula will be next, that buys Baalke another two seasons.

Both Tomsula and Philbin should be fired
I can't believe Philbin wasn't fired last year

Firing Tomsula would do nothing, he's not the problem and there's a reason why no coach wanted to take the job.

I mean would you take a job somewhere where reaching 1 Superbowl and 3 NFC Title games in 4 years is enough to get you white-anted?

No one around the league has any respect for our front office and nor should they

Sources say tension with Dolphins had been mounting for weeks in practice

It was an extremely tense week in London surrounding the Miami Dolphins prior to them being embarrassed by the New York Jets and subsequently firing coach Joe Philbin upon their return to the United States.

Frustrations have been mounting for weeks, and escalated Saturday during practice prior to the game. Philbin has also been struggling on how to handle his franchise quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, who had been getting rattled even in practice sessions.

On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”

Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback.

The frustration for Tannehill stemmed from the entire situation as well as the Dolphins haven’t won a game since the season-opener. Tannehill is an extremely competitive person, and the struggles of the offense have angered him significantly.

Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.

However, that didn’t prove to be an effective strategy.

haha, philbin was scared tannehill would go awol crying to mama because other players were mean to him. no wonder they cut this stiff to the kerb. the new interim coach made it clear in no uncertain terms that players will be challenged in practice. no wonder tannehill blows hard. too concerned about getting the last word in instead of tying to get better and torching the practice squad players to shut them up.

Yeah fair call.
Still Tomsula's not the type of guy that's going to over come that kind of thing, but i take your point on the fact they arent going to be able to attract anyone capable of doing that.

They've really made a meal of it, havent they? Baalke and Chip should get together and discuss their strategies on tearing down a contender

Man that's pathetic from a head coach, talk about the opposite of competing and getting better every day.

Lol, the 'practice pay check' line is the worst thing Tannenhill could say

And Tomsula won't be going anywhere, not this year at least. And I think if there's signs of improvement next season, he'll go to his 3rd season

Man...I actually feel bad for Tomsula.

Their best D-Lineman retires close to the start of the season

Two of their best linebackers retire close tot he start of the season.

Their best Run Blocking tackle decides to take a year off football.

Just crazy set of circumstances when 4 of your best 15 players just decide they don't want to play any more and don't give you enough time to replace them.

On top of that you have Kaep with his massive regression....

I don't think he is a good coach...don't get me wrong...he looks like a guy who wears a tracksuit with a gold necklace reminiscing about the good old days in a mob movie. But I do feel sorry for him.

I do also, but then I read stories about how he white-anted Harbaugh from the beginning of last year and that he was the source for all those locker room rumours, then I don't feel much for him anymore.

Chip Kelly's seat would be getting a little warm after an avoidable loss to a division rival. He's allowed too many playmakers to walk out the door. Shady, Maclin and Jackson have not been replaced and as they said on ESPN last night, no one is afraid of Riley Cooper, both on and off the field. LMAO!

IMO, Eagles miss the playoffs and Chip goes back to College football.

He might do, but Larie gave Reid a year to right the ship, i suspect he'll give Kelly the same

ESPN are full of f**king idiots who dont know what they are talking about, Chip Kelly getting rid of LeSean and DeSean and Maclin isnt the problem. Those guys are replaceable and not the reason we are stinking it up.

We replaced McCoy with Matthews and Murray, we replaced DeSean with Maclin, and then Maclin wanted top 10 WR money, which we smartly werent willing to pay. Agholar and Matthews will be a great 1-2 punch long term.

Letting Mathis and Herremans walk and thinking he could replace them with back up level talent, aquiring a QB who is terrified to throw deep until we're in a 2 td hole... those are his problems.
The Eagles issues have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with a lack of play makers in skill positions or even their league average Defense.
Their problems are their line is getting blown off the park and their QB is playing poorly.

Totally agree.

The offensive line has not allowed any opportunities for a running game. Bradford is getting rushed most plays. Basically they have zero time to do anything.

I'd say they need some urgent help whether by trade or FA but in fairness nothing is available through FA. They'd have to lose a lot to get another decent guard and or tackle...even for a backup. I don't think many teams would be willing to lose a first or second rated o-linemen this far into the season.

Rookie Coach with a bunch of rookies.

Sure they have experience in some positions.

But it is rookies (or 2nd 3rd year) in all sorts of critical positions.

QB (No Russel Wilson) and the offence seem lost.

Certainly a rebuilding year, so all you can ask for is improvement.

I did see some espn show 1% chance of winning the division based on 4 game stats. Cardinals 78%.

Just f**king improve.

Whilst I largely agree with what you say, do you think even though they replace Shady with DeMarco that perhaps Shady is a lot more suited to the team than DeMarco? DeMarco is a great north south runner and he had his way playing behind that Cowboys O Line I think inflated his stats abit, I mean Joseph Randle was averaging 6.7 yards a carry behind that line last season. Chip signs a guy who runs north south then gets rid of 2 starting interior lineman including an All-pro and has Murray running east west....
