Another classic by Dopey. After wasting a fortune on OLFORD he wants to pay Shillo far more than he is worth

Sunday Mail reports $1m for three years leaving much less money to retain better players. He is not worth it

Consider Shillos recent record:

In last semi against Tigers he, when the pressure was on ;

a) Dropped the ball twice in his own 20 metres leading to tries and gave a away crucial early penalty

b) Gave Fensom, arguably our best player, a hospital pass in his own 20 metres which put

him out of the game early in the first half and and injury which took three months to recover from .


This year he ;

Averages about less than 20 minutes a half

Low number of tackles and hit ups with few metres gained , No offloads and drops Ball in own 20 metres

As a Captain he was as inspirational as Pauline Hanson

In addition without him as a player and Captain We won our last two having lost eight with him playing and as Captain

For all this Dopey continued to have him as captain and now offers him a $1m contract

Does this mean he will be Captain when Tongue retires ? God help us . Fensom should our next long term Captain

If Shillo is worth $1M Fensom is worth $5M

What sort of message does this send to our best players like Tilse (by far the best prop) Fensom and Picker who are only on a fraction of this

to be fair if you look at his career so far, 2010 could be called an anomaly. He was a pillow at the roosters and has been terrible this season.

It's ridiculous the amount of money furner is blowing on props. Shillington, TLL, Tilse and White that would be over $1.5m on four players that at best, would total 160min between them per game.

Shillo is a quality forward and that money over 3 years is worth every dollar when he is in form plus 2013 onward the cap rises so would be standard yearly wage for a main front rower then i guess
