Despite him playing well this season and massively exceeding my expectations I'd only keep him if we get him for a decent contract. The guy continually overrates his ability.

Here is the thing with AD. He has an amazing ability to show some form and then have that form completely disappear.

He isn't good enough to play in the halves for us. He is too slow for the centres. He has done well playing at lock but it's like one game or so.

I hope he stays but we shouldn't be offering him good dollars.

I think there is an element of self entitlement with AD.
When we were absolutely crapola a few years ago Adam was our hope.
He then had those horrific run of knee recos and now that he's back he wants to be the man again, and more money. Nothing wrong with that if he performs. Which he kinda had albeit with weakened opposition.
He did give us this year at a bargain price so that helped us.
I've always tried to be on his side but I think another year at 400k with a club option for a possible upgrade after that is a fair deal if it all works out with him at lock.
If he can get better elsewhere then ok. Let him go without causing a scene.

He is a problem player in that you have to figure out how to use him. He might be good for a club like Parra who could replace Brown with AD and get AD for say 500k and have him fill a role in the halves.

At our club he is going to play lock or utility or depth.

I think we just get Api or someone else to kick.

I can't see him playing 80 minutes a game for us anyway so we are going to need another kicker.

If we get him on a fair amount then I think he is a good signing. The guy can win games for you. The problem is he isn't a marquee player and he has always considered himself a marquee player. He has also been playing pretty well for us and I think outplayed Galvin this season and maybe even Luai and Latu.

I don’t think it matters what AD wanted a year ago or how he played a year ago.. Fact is he’s won two recent games with his goal kicking and he’s outshone our marque spine recently and shown them how it’s done.. if I was deciding I’d be dwelling on that
