Sit down to the table Nages, you got a lot of eating to do.
Everyone knows what happened in the Mellor incedent as we have all discussed it in our previous forums countless times. It happened, we had News articles, comments from Rogers & insiders on here who witnessed the event/events.
As an Anderson apologist, you will find it very difficult. nearly every negative story you have heard about him has turned out be true in his time at the Sharks. There are very few positives to come out of his tenure, which at best, can only be desribed as "ad-hoc" planning.

You wil be much better served to just place incredibly brilliant posts like cheese, who denigrates posters discussions whenever somebody questions another one of Andersons insane methods, with a big snore remark. Brilliant stuff.

& if you think Anderson is capable of succeeding in the NRL again, you are living in a fantasy land.
If you haven't noticed, since the heart problems, the guy has lost the plot. Totally.

Well the lunch offer still stands, but not on anecdotal evidence. Forgive me if I don't take 'discussed on this forum' as being gospel truth.

I have anecdotal stuff that paints Chris Anderson in a very different light indeed - but where would that get us?

Then when you anecdotally watched the Sharks play this year, you saw Dean Treister & Nick Graham, Hymie & Paul Mellor all running around out there for us, because anecdotally, there have been no problems at the Sharks.
They just got up & left because they all want Ando to do well.
Nages, you won't be the first Anderson Apologist to come on here & sprout these opposing views claims. There have been many on here over the last 3 years, only to have their claims crash & burn by Andersons imbecilic, pedantic & childish outbursts.
But you may well be the last.

I'd love to hear it though! :)

In the field I work in, I meet quite a few players. The general feedback I get about Ando is that he is a tough, uncompromising, passionate guy who you want to play well for.

It's not all like that obviously, but it's certainly like that for the majority of players he's coached who I've spoken to.

Not bad from some of the best players in the League.

Unlike yourself, I don't see these guys leaving as necessarily a bad thing. I think next year's team looks awesome... I wouldn't change a thing. So if those blokes weren't happy in the team Ando was trying to build - then see ya!

Got no problems with that at all. That doesn't make him a bad coach. All coaches get rid of players they don't work with when they take over. That's the point of being a coach...

I really don't get your point - anecdotally or not.

I have not made my personal position on Chris Andersons value as a coach to the club I love on this chat forum. I have indeed stated that the board needs to change and management positions need change drastically.

However I can confirm, for what it is worth that Chris does have a very impersonal way of operating if you are not within his "chosen" circle of mates, the captain of that club is Brett Kimmorley, members include some wonderful footballers that have played in our game here and abroad, Robbie Kearns, Ross, T Nikau, Scott Hill, Darren Smith, Jason Smith, Dean Pay, the list goes on, Phil Bailey and Danny Nutely are two new comers to the club.

But for every one member of the club, there are 10 first grade level players or ex players that cannt be in the same room as Chris without wishing to vomit.

The incident with Mellor did happen, the same incident happened with another outside back early this season, a much younger player that Mellor.

I agree that football players must play hurt on occasion, however using their injury to blackmail and bully them into thinking they must play or leave the " inner sanctum" of Chris Andersons, or any coach, is not on and I agree could one day meet a very severe challenge in an employment court.

Well I am certainly very keen to see Ando coach us again next year, but I would never condone forcing a player to take risks like those being described here.

So bon appetit!

Munch. Munch. Mmmm… tastes like chicken…
