I watched it when I was younger, I remember bugger all. I'm in the same boat. Heck I can hardly remember 10 names of characters. GoT I knew a bit, not a lot though. TWD was my expertise. LotR and SP I know though.

Sorry I missed GOT. That and Walking Dead are the must see series for me at the moment.
