Take it as read Dragons are looking at the below 3 no 7s currently playing in ESL.. A local players agent has been given the task to commence negotIations on behalf of the club.. All players though need to be released from contracts for 2017 so Dragons up for potential release fee if they happen to agree.. Could prove cost effective..

I wonder whether this is a back up plan or THE plan because Coote, Cronk etc have given us a thanks, but no thanks.

I shudder to think we would seriously be entertaining Sandow as an option. I don't know too much about the others to be honest. What worries me is that it would take time for them to get accustomed to the rigours of the NRL and having been told for 2-3 years our attack is a work in progress, I'd really like to stop hearing that line soon.

And on the topic of opposition coaches, surely McFadden is a dead man walking.

I wouldn't be surprised if Warriors make a move in the next week or two.

Prefer to see Saints give Hutch/Nona or Wallace a go this season before we start feeding at the bottom of the ESL.
Damn straight.. honestly kids like Wallace & Carr have x-factor and neither is getting consistent time for the cutters let alone first grade.. id have both in 1st grade later this season, particularly if we arent in finals contention, Wallace to play a Nikorima type role if nothing else off the bench, a dynamic runner with halves skills.. granted he did get a gig at hooker before his concussion, so its possible Mary has requested his move.. either that or more likely they just cant find room in the halves for him as Hutch/Nona have been locked in for now.

Another day another crazy idea....or rumour thread. There are enough players supposedly linked to the Dragons to fill a whole new squad!!!

So does our Director of Pathways really think recruiting a half back from the bowels of ESL is moving forward. Why doesn't he look in QLD & NSW cup and target the best potential half.

Corey Norman is off contract this season. He is one of the reasons the Eels are doing well. Bearing in mind the well documented salary cap issues they have I would imagine they would not be able to compete with an appropriate offer from a rival club....over to you Dousty.

Yep...and one Ivan Cleary would be their mark and, if they landed him, would not leave much on offer if we decided to look for a new coach.

When you have options, you have choices. When you have no options, you're stuffed.

Both Wallace and Nona are contracted to the Cutters only and aren't eligible for the Dragons. They would both nee to be offered contracts before we could use them.

Surely the 3 mentioned are being used as Gee Up!!!!!!

Having watched Wallace play he is the best number 7 we have in my opinion. He has a great kicking game , plays first receiver both sides , barks at his forwards telling them what he wants them to do , runs direct , has a blinding turn of speed , plays what he sees and a great ability to run at slow tired forwards.....and not to mention a great passing game both ways....Maybe his defence might not be the best but i would urge Mary to go and watch him play when he is not being stuffed around at hooker and off the bench . He is a young number 7 that could be anything if properly managed .

I have a feeling that Nona could be special - he challenges the line..

Corey Norman starting price is $800k
He's not worth $500k let alone $800k!!!
