Dragons Counter to Vikings Clap

Meh. The Raiders stole a viking thing. On the surface yeah it's ok, but Canberra is as vanilla and soulless a place as you'll ever visit.
Not exactly intimidating seeing 10 thousand pasty dweebs in the crowd.

The Viking clap at Canberra is good. Oh when the Saints Go Marching In as sung by the Southampton FC crowd is awesome. It's the song I've always really associated with the Dragons.

It would be awesome at a GF (even better if were playing there LOL) especially if filled with Dragons supporters playing a non Sydney club.

So Dragons behind the goal posts at each end - right back near the fence spitting fire - and the score board with 'Oh when the Saints go marching in' would be a fantastic way to celebrate all the tries we score. Put these two elements together and throw in a brass band and it would produce a great atmosphere.

The song over the pa, with the words up on the screen, the crowd would do the rest.

Before kick off, during half time and after a game. There's your entertainment right there and gets the crowd involved and to the games.

Imagine the boys hearing that before they run out at kick off and half time. It would let them know the crowds behind them and would let the opposition know they're in Dragons territory.

Why aren't our marketing people doing this?

I don't know why. There ae so many things that can be done which would increase attendance and membership numbers. The Dragons Fire thing is great. Next tailored promotions to the ever increasing Chinese community in the St George district.

Great idea, I have always why the games lacked atmosphere. This could be the game changer.

The Nrl are crazy if they don't ask all clubs to reply to the Viking Clap.
