Spot on
Give him some time to build up his body and he could be our long term hooker and future leader at dragons
I dont know about building his body up dragonssamy... the kid looks like a pretty stocky bloke already.
Good too see the juniors that are showing promise are getting locked up by the club.
Now all the club has to do is give them a run when the opportunity arises!

Agree Doc
One thing to remember is that he is only 18 and already (reportedly) 90kg's, so he doesn't need building up per say. I would say he would need to work on the strength portion of his fitness and the finesse of the hooking role, but that's about it.
He will spend 2017 in the U20's and look to make his way in 2018 as the back-up to McInnes.
If McInnes fires in 2017, then of course he will be our #1 hooker, but with Havili, McCrone and dare I say Marketo all off contract in 2017 (and I on' see any of them being extended) young Robson should be the understudy and be ready for his 1st grade debut in 2018.

I get what your saying doc.
What i was trying to say is he needs plenty of time in cutters against men so he gets used to tackling ect

Oh agree 100% dragonssamy. I hope he plays off the bench in 2017 for the cutters...
Who knows, if he handles himself well he could be our spark off the bench in first grade towards the end of the season, him and McInnes can rotate.
He needs time to adjust to playing against men.

Do we think realistically that any of these promising youngsters will get games in the trials or the 9's? I am thinking surely but the Dragons always surprise me.

Mary's answer to that is : Why play a young up and comer with raw talent when you can roll out duds like Marketo & Matthews all the time?

He's got the look of a real good top grader about him.

His extension just gave me one.

Well done Basil.

Indeed.

The games I saw him play this season he looked very composed, steered the team around well and has sharp pass and keen eye for the game.

Then in the game against the rooters, again he looked good all game but towards the end when we were under pressure and chasing points he had a couple of brain fades and made some uncharacteristic errors which surprised me a little. I guess he will lose those as he gains more experience.

I too think there's something about Reecey!

Correct, Mary needs to pick a squad of 15 like this, Dufty, Field, MacDonald, Aitken, Mann, Hutch, Nona, I Thompson, Frizz (c), Leilua, Herbert, Milne, Sims, Kerr & Robson (Anthony Mundine for fun as extra).

Instead we will see this 15, McCrone, Lafai, Nightingale, Glymin (injured hamy), Ah Mau, Marketo (c), DeBelin (half back), Vaughan, Matthews, Marketo family member (vc), Vas, Hornby, D Young, G Rose & Steve Price (someone to blame).

First squad actually looks bloody good, speed, ball players, offloading ability, youth and mobile units.
