Good to hear. Been following this quartet for two years now. This is a strong Ball side. Expect a final spot out of them this season. How did the half Brandon Tikinau travel, is from the same alma mater as Loko Jr, Ipswich High. Fairly sure Carlos Pauli is also from there. Hoping to catch replays of our junior reps on NSWRL Facebook site

I applaud our scouts for trawling far and wide, even across the northern border for the likes of Loko Jr, Paulie, King-Togia, Kinikau and Peckam-Harris plus those from our own state hailing from that excellent nursery Patrician Bros, Halangahu and Finau. But are our selectors also backing our own home grown boys with the same enthusiasm and confidence. Have not seen an extension for either Ackers, Egan, Webster, Buchanan, Stewart, Quinn or Reed. Cyrus Stanley-Trail tho is one local that has been given a long term extension, only this week.

Egan, Stewart and Buchanan are all signed on to be in the top 30 in around 2025/6 I'm pretty sure.

2025 committed so far:
o Top 30: Halangahu, Egan, Pasifiki Tonga & Stewart
o Supplementary Spots: NickT, Ackers

But there will be heaps more to join them yet.. but hopefully other positions than forwards.. I feel like Flanno is rly focussed on rebuilding that pack of ours.. plus just reality that thats whats coming through the grades.

Note: I cant find anything on Buchanan, hes training with 1st grade already..but he will be due for a dev contract at some stage.. said he is hoping to play reserves this year best case.. also said he has played in the forwards or lock until recently..

Dragons teenagers Finau Latu, Jacob Halangahu, and Loko Pasifiki Tonga have all been selected in the Australian Under 18 Schoolboys team.

"The nephew of Tongan great Solomon Haumono, Latu signed a contract with the Dragons that will see him commence preseason training with the NRL squad in November before joining the extended NRL squad in 2025."

Flanno's track record when he was at the Sharks was he invested a lot of effort into pathways, much like investing into the future. Exactly what we have needed because of the neglect for years.

Namely halves and hooker. Seems by bringing Qlders King-Togia first now Kinikau that our recruit/retain people dont have sufficient faith in the ability of our junior halves/hookers. Been a plethora of them, Hall, Quinn, Ward, Perryman, Herring (halves) Hooper, Purcell, Finau (hookers). Appears they are all unwanted. St George Matts Cup half is Riley Brannock, hails from the famous Renown Club, speel is 'he is a promising creative player'. Will Flanno hold on to this guy.

Stefano Sele was still playing for Souths in 2023 and was again in these trial games

I am guessing he is related to Hame ?

Won best and fairest at the NSW footy comp also

Plays SG Ball for Souths and is the younger brother of Hame. Kingsgrove Colts junior
