Can anyone confirm whether he has completed his induction training? I haven’t heard boo.
Gareth.Actually I have always enjoyed their banter , some facts mixed with a few fibs and a large dose of humour . Unfortunately I do not see the show on the telly any longer .
Do they still have a weekly show Sage and if so what channel ?
I listen to it in my podcast feed pretty regularly (Roy and HG - Bludging on the Blindside), just need to be in the right mood for it lol.. but when you are its gold.Gareth.
Their radio show is called - “Bludging on the Blindside”.
ABC Sydney 702.
From 10am to midday (I think it is midday) on Saturdays
Can be very funny.
Like you say - facts mixed up with a few fibs.
Or perhaps more accurately - a ton of fibs mixed up with a few facts.
Worth a listen.
Thanks for the information Happy Old Dragon , I shall make a point of listening in .Gareth.

I'd suggest financial success will be a big part of his brief going forward. Webb claimed to have turned the financial performance of the club and got us profitable again. Watsford has to build on this. Last year the NRL published each clubs revenue performance (ref https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/yo...-and-worst-off-the-field-20240530-p5ji1q.html) We were 10th, below clubs like Parramatta, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Dogs. As in everything else, the club should be doing a lot better. In my opinion Flanagan has done a good job in replacing our second tier, or squad players, with better alternatives, largely on the cheap, and also to bring through a huge number of our talented juniors. This has made us a more solid outfit. However the glaring failure has been to recruit 2 or 3 top line players to galvanise us into a top 8 club. I have no idea who is to blame, Board, CEO, recruitment team, coach, who the hell knows. But first order of business has to be to investigate this area of the club and form an opinion as to why we have failed time and again and work out how to fix it.
I understand from his interviews (which were so long ago they are almost out of date now) that his core strength is in the commercial side of the business. Of course this is important, we need to be successful financially. He will be hampered by the fact that we are half owned by a pub with a geriatric board still dining out on past glories, and a disinterested media network run by a family who won't put their own money in because they don't own a majority stake. But if he can get his head around TPA's at the very least, and drum up local business and community interest in this area similar to Brisbane, we could start to compete financially with the big boys.
I agree with many on here that for an appointment of this size the club communication has been poor. I'm very surprised he hasn't at the very least sat down for a 10 minute chat for our website /ap since he took over formally. The radio interview conducted back near the start of the year just doesn't cut it for me, and we shouldn't be relying on other media outlets for information on this.

Privately run clubs?Broncos and Storm weren't included for some reason.
Broncos are listed on the ASX. Their financials are publicly available. Storm is privately owned.Privately run clubs?
interesting. Where does most of the revenue come from? Merchandise? Memberships? Or pokies? Serious question. How can we improveI'd suggest financial success will be a big part of his brief going forward. Webb claimed to have turned the financial performance of the club and got us profitable again. It's not what they say, it's what they do.Make the effort to reach out to him. He does reply and has said he is very driven to make us a success. I hope it is him replying and not an assistant. Anyway if you are polite I am sure he will reply.
