The dude made a case for Barrett.
Rather than just put shit on it, like a androtop heckler in the dark, make your case against it.

Bring back the wok.......
Does a case really need to be made?
He made the suggestion which is all well and good but let's be serious here.
How much coaching experience has barrett had? He's been an assistant coach in the NSW team..that's about it. Origin is very different to coaching week in, week out NRL side.
IMO at the moment I would say no to Barrett, but in the future once he has had a several years experience coaching lower grades then look at his results and decide from there.
He has a very good footballing brain Barrett, but give him to develop it in a coaching role before throwing him into head coach position.
exactly..
Price is the second attempt of bringing in a coach with zero first grade coaching experience.
Brown was a failure, Price yet to aim up..
so someone suggests another coach with zero first grade experience as the solution...
it really doesnt need any case made against it...
I think Doust and the board are just beginning to look outside, from a coaches role anyway.
If Price fails this year (failure for me would equate to not making the top 6, top 8 not good enough IMO) then my support for the whole "internal promotion" notion that the club loves will be severely tested.
It seems though that the club may be trying to move on from this however with the attempt on Bellamy, even though it looks like we may fail in landing Bellamy I think Doust and the board are just beginning to look outside, from a coaches role anyway.
In regards to Barrett to be honest he might be alright and was actually deep in the mix for the NSW Origin job, but I'm tired of rookie coaches and the next one if it's not Price should he fail we should be looking at one with a decent resume and experience.
Absolutely correct and should scupper any thought of Barrett coaching in the NRL at the moment.Does a case really need to be made?

I thought the penny might have dropped after we won in 2010 with Bennett, but obviously notbecause it was back to finding rookie coaches from our lower grades.
In saying that, I think Price deserves another year to prove himself and if he fails then I guess it was only two seasons. That doesn't hurt as much as the Brown days when I felt that we had the best roster by a country mile, but we were so inconsistent and had a terrible team temperament. Although we made Prelims and what not, I really feel that the right coach would have one at least two premierships with that squad we had...it was that good! The manner in which we used to capitulate in tight matches was horrifying.
