Actually....what about dugan playing at 5/8 next week? Might sound risky but he has the skills to pay the bills?

I dare say he'll go for the safe option and pick Herbert/McCrone.

Mick Picker would go alright though.

I think that woud be way to radical for the conservatives, but i would like to see it.

Dugan is currently giving a masterclass today against souths.

just how many points does the kid have to score before he's put in first-grade??

Play him at hooker and he would still be a standout; he deserves a spot.

Yeah.

Wonderful result for Canberra tonight, but what does Dugan need to do to get a spot in the first grade team?

6 tries, 11 goals, 5 line breaks and 500m in his last 2 games.

He has to come in on the wing and could swap with Milne from time to time (Milne looked stuffed at certain times throughout the match) and also take a leaf out of Purtell's book and come in to first receiver or dummy half whenever possible. Only difference he wouldn't be doing it in slow motion ala Purtell. Now that would take care of one side as for the other well we do have numerous options and it is time to try them. I would go for Huihahau but would be just as happy with Daniel Vidot or Drury Low even James Stuart, who appears to going well at Souths Logan.

Croker is one of the best young centres in the game
Unlike Jammal Idris, who uses pure size and strength, Croker is one of those smaller but more skillful players. He'll be a rep player in the future IMO
his ability to break the line, his positioning in attack and anticipation is already well above whats needed for NRL fg... he needs to work a little bit in defense he makes good contact but often falls off the tackle, and he needs experience to iron out the kinks in his defensive reads... give him a year solid in FG and he'll be pushing for rep honours in CvC.

talk about jumping the gun.

he's looked adequate so far. Could have a very good fg career.

I know i've gone off early but there is somthing about the kid
He's got it. He needs time in FG to adjust himself but once he gets 30, maybe 40 FG under his belt as a fulltime FGer with he'll be one our best.
