Seriously, what are other top centres on? What are the top players at various teams being paid? What are other Australian and Origin reps being paid?

Where are you getting this figure from? Really, where does that particular figure come from? What's lead to that number?

Nobody on this forum who throws out potential salaries for players has more than 10% of the information you'd need to make an informed assessment.

My 2018 team would be:
1. Dufty
2. Herbert (Impresses me almost every time I see him play.)
3. Dugan (Captain, If we don't end up with him, Then Herbert to 3 and Garrick to 2.)
4. Milne
5. MacDonald
6. Field (As long as he is progressing well in the Cutters, If not quite ready, then slot Mann in here)
7. Hunt
8. Vaughan
9. McInnes/Robson if he kicks on
10. Sims
11. Host
12. Frizell
13. De Belin (I'm fine with replacing him IF we can find someone who is better attacking (Not hard) and equal or close to in defense)

14. Mann (Utility back, Come on late in both halves to cause some problems)
15. Packer
16. Sele/Kerr
17. Leilua

There is a notable omission or two, But you can't have them all in the team.

I base it on the fact that we keep losing our best wingers and centres to rugby because they don't get paid as much in league. Also, basic maths, but I don't think anyone wants to read a several hundred word breakdown of a salary cap.

100% agree Walpole but I think your being a little generous with the 10%

Inglis is centre and is on 1 million if you can belive the papers.
So using that as a guide.
I would thinks Duges would be offered 750 to 800k.

Sounds about right to me samy. It would be very interesting to know what all the players were on and where they sit in the top 25. If Dugan is currently on 700k as reported then it seems something in that vicinity again would make sense, especially if the cap is going to rise. I just hope we hang on to him, the Hunt deal all goes as planned and we get ourselves a new coach!
