I don't think he had his best game. But I think he's got some potential. I remember QLD fans talking about him mid year, after he had a stormer in the under 19's Origin at Lang Park. They said he was going to be the next Wendell. Anyway, he was a consistent try scorer and a 2002 Aus schoolboy, so I'm sure he'll be pushing for first grade.

Speaking of Barba, he scored something like 42 tries in two season. Now he's joined his cousin Preston out at Penrith. They could prove to be a REAL handful on the park this year...

I'm a Burleigh Bears supporter, both seniors and juniors. I've watched Demitri Pelo play both schoolboy and seniors. If he plays as he did in just about every game (with the exception of last year's Qld Cup GF), then the sharks have a very, very handy winger. Can score tries, can run and can tackle. I'll qualify this - if he plays at his best, he'll cause a few headaches for opposition teams.

I'd say roughly about the same time. Going by the look of our squad Pelo would be good enough in that company, and Dumas as a young mobile backrower would also have come into calculations. I'd say French coach Giles Dumas had been in contact with our admin before he named his squad.
