Yeah gotta admit that I owned a pair (or 2) of volleys. I wore the blue stripes. Remember when they came out in velcro instead of shoe laces Ron? As I was always playing squash they were the shoe for that sport. Malvern Star, yep so I am 2 from 2. You're right they were they days - especially as the eels were the greatest with sterling, Kenny, Ella, Cronin, Grothe, Price, Wynn - oh sh*t the list goes on doesn't it. Volleys rock. I thinking about going out and buying a pair.

Gee dude your the man  ...yeah i remember the velcro & all....i witness many changes in the Volleys.....but one thing always stayed the same.....the grip   .....i could walk up side down and they would still grip to the wall.

Riding a Malvern Star and wearing Volleys at the same time would have to be a Kodak moment.

Imagine weraing Volleys....in a Datsun 180b with Malvern Star on the rear bumper

Onya Criswell,

I still wear them as well.

I bound around the building site with volleys, and, as Redback said, they are the best shoes for working on a roof.

I don't think the Work Cover guy believed me when I told him that mine were "Safety Volleys" though.

And I always have to insert some odour eaters - not that I have a particularly bad foot odour problem, its just that in summer........well, you know what I mean.
And I always get the Blue variety - I think it comes from the summer range of Volley colours.

Malvern Star?? - my brother had a three "on the tree" speed. No basket though.

JJ, aka Al Bundy.

I was in David Jones this morning. The other half was tring on bras and i wanted a seat so i went to the shoe section and sat down, all of the sudden i was surrounded by all these cranky, old and rather large women. I felt Al's pain at that point.....

i got me some volleys last year and sorry to say but i dont think they're as comfortable as a lot of the old timers reckon. still comfy though not the shoes i'd recommend for most sports.
a good bargain shoe though.
only cost me $16 from BIG W.
got them before the trend came and they started selling them at general pants for $60 just because they have new colours.
the light blue/dark blue combo does it for me, an oldie but always a goodie.
