Dustin Cooper, is he any good?

I saw the mighty Devils against Toowoomba at the weekend and they were far from their best. I was looking forward to seeing Dustin Cooper play in the Norths colours and boy I was disappointed. Missed tackles, dropped balls out of position defensively - he struggled big time.

In fact what really surprised me was his care factor. He just didn't look interested.

Yet he finds himself in the Storm side this week (thanks to a few injuries). If I was Melbourne, I would've given anyone, but Cooper, the spot. Put bloody Hamo on the wing, better still, Stan Napa!!

Maybe some of the Redcliffe boys out there have seen him fire.

I saw Dustin play some good games at the begining of last season for Redcliffe.

And also he's playing for a club he never really wanted to play for but in saying that he knew it could happen if he didn't make first grade with the Storm.

What position did he play Zu.

I'm pretty sure next time he plays in Norths colours he'll give a good account of himself.

He was on fire for Redcliffe before getting picked up by the storm.

He went from average A Grader to standout Qld Cup player over that off season.

By the sounds of it, the whole Norfs team suffered from a case of the 'dropsies' last Sunday.

Anyway, Dustin Cooper was great for the Dolphins when he started the season at fullback in Qld Cup in 2003. Sadly, he got poached by the Storm and left half way during the year.

His younger brother Gavin is currently making a good fist at it in the Qld Cup for the Dolphins.

He played fullback. It worst performance I've seen by a player for a while. Hopefully he goes well for the Storm, because it seems he does have talent.

I've noticed many of these players seem to go a lot better when they make the step up to the NRL.

I am probably biased anyway because I'm mates with Dustin but I think he will make more positive appearances with Norths than bad ones.
