Dykes for rep honours?

With Johns out for the season, does anyone think that Dykes' form may put him in contention for rep honours? It's only 4 weeks to go to the Anzac Day test and if he can keep up his form, he may just find himself wearing the green and gold.

i don't think he will be considered to play for australia no matter how well he goes, but along with burt i'd suggest he's a slight shot at making origin

hindy's selection in the aussie STARTING team is what i'm more concerned about

Hope not. Hope none of them get picked for SOO. They come back worse players...example Brett Hodgson...was never anygood after Tallis rag dolled him in the State of Origin. Bugger the rep games.

I can see why people wouldn't want players in rep games but Dykes' form should see him at very least get into the City team this year.

I thought this was a joke when I read the title. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Dykes, while playing 2 half decent games in the last couple of years should never be considered for rep duties. It would even be embarrasing and devalue such an event to see him picked even for City.

I must disagree..........it's my favourite rep game of the year, and I would prefer a Country Origin jersey to any rep jersey that could be offere to me!

Well, Burt would be a Country rep wouldn't he? Minichello is a shoe-in for the City job obviously, and I guess probably Peachey for Country. As for Kimmorley, I think most people are sick of his previous appointments because of best buddy Anderson, so we would rather not see him get any more rep duties... :?

Dykes has no chance at making the Australian side. He's playing well, but I reckon there'd be at least 10 or so players considered before him.

Kimmorley, Gower, Sherwin, Orford is all I can think off maybe Finch aswell but that is borderline.
