No ours! Don't say Greg Bird either. He isn't a 5/8th. He's a second rower or a centre. Same as Timmins. 5/8ths pass and kick the ball. I want to see Bird in the centres when he comes back.

Dykes did not perform well at all V the Dragons to go with his Melbourne game.

He ran away in defence as fatty pointed out leaving a gaping hole for Head to score his try.

He also ran across field just about the width of the field and was heading for touch so he passed it to keep it in but gave it to the Dragons who proceeded to run 50m up field and score from the turnover.

He is going very ordinary these days, his year was 2001.

Where would you prefer him? 5/8th or centre. He is going to be in the top side. Do you want him to stay at 5/8th?

He will have to play a lot better to make the top side now.
Gallen has shown more potential at 5/8 in 2 gamesthan Bird has in 2 seasons. & Gallen is still young. He is faster than Bird has a better step of both feet not just one, & has a great pass in traffic.
so he will never be 5/8 unless 2 people in front of him get injured. Namely Gallen & Hilder.
so who does he put out of the forwards?
Well it wont be stevens Williams, Wiliams, Sully, Hilder, Bailey , isemonger, Dumas, Galloway, beattie or even Bickers, because none of them have turnstile defense.
so in the backs, centres, well at his pace, and as has been shown, once they are past him they are home, so he needs another 10-15 metres on his pace to play centres or wing. So whats left, full back? half back.
Somehow I thinbk it is going to have to be fortuituous run of injuries for him to get a lookin again.
so if we ever see him in firsts again, the sharks will be travelling very very badly.

I still think Bird should have been given 4 ahead of JA last year. He backs himself close to the line, his defence has improved and he is strong enough to go over most times.

Bird would be great in the centres!
As soon as he shaves 2.5 seconds of his 100m time.
Is there anywhere online where i can find out the times over 100 metres for the sharks players ??

Nope.
As far as I know, only one person has this info collated from all of the managers. He has a database on every aspect of every player.
Gus Gould.

I'd like to know who is quicker out of Franze, McGoldrick and Bird atm.

Bird will go straight back into the side at 5/8th I believe. Not because he deserves to but because I think the people down there have an extremely different opinion on him than this forum.

I want Aitken to step up to the mark in the coming weeks and make 5/8th his own.

That leads me to ask the question of, if Bird is going to be in the side, where would you prefer him to play? If you had to pick a position for him, what would it be?

I think left centre.

Bird will make first grade one day & probably at a different club.

Mdgoldrick apparently is about 12 metres in front of both & whilst he is quick, he's not the quickest going around.

Givemeabeer would obviously be the best to ask about 40 m times.

Aitken gets a lot of wraps. I have not seen him play, how does he go in PL ?
Why has SR not used him yet ? Is he a decent sized 5/8 ? It seems to be the way most clubs are going these days, with a decent defender in the 5/8 role

At least one of the pivots is usually with size.
Aitken for mine in PL last week looks too structured.
Others say he is quick etc but I can't comment on that reliably.
From what I have seen , he is not that quick.
He can pass both the sides very well & seems to have nice short kicking game.
He may very well go better with higher quality players around him.
Sometimes this happens to players who don't show to much in PL, they get into firsts & find another leg.
Others who kill it in PL, like Emilio, or used to anyway, go missing.

Dykes can get foiked if he wants to come back.

I wouldn't accept him I don't think. Unless his only payment was a can of Pepsi after the game.

The bloke sacrificed a good team, and his mates for the $$$. I hope Parra re-sign him and he is doomed to play shitty football for the rest of his career.
